BSAC Novice2/Sports Diver OWT
(Saki-Motobu)

(Japanese)

I did Open Water Training of Novice2 (two beaches) and Sports Diver (two beaches/two boats) of BSAC at Motobu Marine Club (MMC) of Okinawa in the middle of April, 2004.

It was good weather this time, the sea was bright, and I was able to have composure a little as for feelings. The contents of the course are fish watching, taking a picture, navigation, and next page's boat entry and deep diving etc..

Diving in the Godzilla chop offing at Saki-Motobu is the second following January. I felt that there were a lot of fish probably because of the season and my field of vision was little broadening for experience. A lot of "sixbanded sergeantmajor" gathers when taming them by feeding with one sausage as shown in the photograph.

April 9: Instructor is Mr. Ishizuka and Buddy is Mr. Naito.
(1st time) Max. depth is 8.3m. Bottom time is 33 minutes.
(2nd time) Max. depth is 5.4m. Bottom time is 25 minutes.

April 10: Instructor is Mr. Shimizu and Buddy is Mr. Kobayashi.
Another members are Mr. Fujimaru and Mr. Takigawa.
(1st time) Max. depth is 7.3m. Bottom time is 32 minutes.
(2nd time) Max. depth is 6.5m. Bottom time is 32 minutes.
