Strategy of Clean Seashore and Clean Sea in Kurihama (Japanese) |
|
Yokosuka ports and harbours department sponsored "Strategy of Clean Seashore and Clean Sea in Kurihama" was held all over the seashore and the sea in front of the Perry park on Sunday, October 24. I participated according to the general invitation of the diver who cleans the inside of the sea.
45 professional divers of Maritime Self Defense Force, Japan Coast Guard, and the U.S. Forces Yokota base, and amateur's fan divers joined this event.
Conditions of diving places are10m offing, depth of water of about 5m and 1m or less of fields of view. Each group gathers the garbages of within the limits with a length of 50m which met the seashore by the width of about 1m of right and left of the guide rope according to group.
We went to directly under from the start buoy. Although we could visible the weight on the bottom of the sea, we could not see the guide rope was buried in sludge. We surfaced up for response to directions of group subleader and we went underwater again. While field of view was poor, and we advanced only about 5m but were slow, we were ended by the deadline. We were not able to gather garbage.
One of the professional diver said that 1m of fields of view is the better one as their environment. In a fan diver, pleasure did not have one in such a bad field of view. I want to have a chance in the environment which can be enjoyed.
