Commodore Matthew C. Perry
Perry Memorial Hall was constructed in the perry park of Kurihama where Admiral Perry landed. Perry Memorial Hall is the building of commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Yokosuka municipal organization.

Commodore Perry came to Uraga to lead four war ships on July 8,1853. The autograph letter of U.S.President was notified to Japanese shogunate by Commodore Perry.

Many historical materials about Commodore Perry are exhibited in Perry Memorial Hall.
