Guide of City of Yokosuka & Miura Peninsula
Mt. Takeyama Hiking
(Japanese)

I climbed to Mt. Takeyama (altitude: 200m) to hike with my friends of a swimming classroom on early May. Azalea festival was performed at the top of Mt. Takeyama at this time, and it was crowded with many visitors.
Takeyama Acala (in Jikyoji temple) is in the summit of the mountain, and many pious people will visit to the first Acala on January 28.

We traversed from Mt. Takeyama to Mt. Miurafuji (altitude: 183m) via trace of cannon (altitude: 204m), and got down from many stairs, to the Sengen shrine bus stop. If descent from a mountain is carried out in the Tsukuihama station direction, there is a sight-seeing plantation on the way.

The time required by guidance signboard is as follows.
Ikkizuka bus stop-(40 minutes)-Mt. Takeyama-(20 min.)-trace of cannon-(40 min.)-Miurafuji-(15 min.)-Sengen shrine bus stop
Other route: Miurafuji -(20 min.)- Sight-seeing plantation -(30 min.)- Tsukuihama station

If a button is clicked, a big photograph will get used to looking.

There is Inner shrine of the Sengen shrine in the summit of Mt. Miura Fuji. The candle stand which carried out the form of Mt. Fuji is made so that one candle may be stood to the summit of the mountain and four candles may be stood to the foot.
